| The mandate of the Branch is to provide to all departments and agencies; a central legislative drafting service for acts and regulations to print bills for introduction in the Legislative Assembly; to print, publish and distribute acts, regulations and The Royal Gazette; to provide legal advice to the Clerk of the Executive Council on Cabinet agenda items, and to carry out law reform projects. The Queen's Printer as provided by the Queen's Printer Act, and the Registrar of Regulations, as provided by the Regulations Act, are both located within the Branch. The statutory functions of those officers are part of the Branch's mandate. The Registrar of Regulations also serves as a member of the Rules committee established under the Judicature Act. |
