| The Deputy Speaker is the title given to the Member elected at the beginning of every Legislature who serves as Chairman of the Committee of the Whole and the Committee of Supply. The Deputy Speaker replaces the Speaker when the latter is unavoidably absent and has the same privileges and authority as the Speaker. There are currently two Deputy Speakers at the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. | |
